A surprisingly high percentage of the C&D's I see from small businesses (like 50%) involve the sender falsely suggesting that the message is actually coming from a lawyer.
These range from the non-lawyer manager of a sole proprietorship signing off anonymously as "Legal Department" to people actually making up a fake names for the fake lawyers.
Such bad strategy!
