One year a family emergency had us driving east at Christmas time. Couldn't fly, had to drive. This, fortunately, was a divided highway, so we didn't have to worry about oncoming traffic. Hard don't recommend travelling through Quebec and New Brunswick at this time of year. I think this part is in New Brunswick.
