I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube dating shows lately, and I’ll never understand how they draw in so many toxic people. It just doesn’t conform to my lived experience of how people actually are.

Mind you, dating is an awful experience and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. However, if I were dating, I would at least be appreciative that someone else took the time out of their life to meet me.

So why do people have to be so damn mean towards someone they’re supposedly attracted to?
