Sunak has accepted a £1,000 bet from Piers Morgan that deportation flights to Rwanda will be running before the General Election.
Ignoring for a moment the truly despicable nature of that bet (& the policy itself) I was thinking about optics of it - the big round number & the value of it if reframed to the average person on the street.
Turns out he's not risking much. It's the equivalent of the average earner betting £16.75
