the thing to understand about your autistic friends right now is that, while no trait is universal, autism often carries with it an *INCREDIBLY* strong sense of right and wrong, and so for me today is a global existential shattering of that sense.

along with that is, having thought I developed a decently honed sense of people and the world, realizing that I in fact have little practical insight into current events is devastating on an intimately personal scale.
