Trump's "much better than Obamacare" turned out to be high-risk insurance pools that you would be allowed to join if you had a pre-existing condition. Except group insurance with only ill persons, would be astronomically expensive.

The Republican goal with the ACA repeal attempt of 2017 was to return all marketplace power back to insurance companies and put profits first not patients. When Obamacare reversed many decades of that situation, they couldn't stand it.
