Ahh, fucking hell. Just realized that everyone who is racing to build the AI godhead probably thinks they're building the Voice of Planet secret project from Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. Or maybe they think someone already has, and they need to be the first to build the Ascent to Transcendence, which would fit the TESCREAL mold nicely.
