(Part 2) As the textarea bg (background) is a transparent one, it depends on the bg of the element below it (in this case, the div element "compose-form__autosuggest-wrapper" that is a wrapper to the textarea element, it has a background-color of #232323, an opaque dark-gray color). So if something on the browser (or, possibly, the system where browser is running on) changes this bg, it won't change the color foreground, and this case (white text on white bg) has room to happen.
