No, your analogy is terrible. I read the act. It's redundant, unnecessary, and designed to stifle innovation at its core. There are already laws designed against discrimination and such. AI actor should not be treated any different than a human actor. If a company is found to be discriminating, it shouldn't matter if its the human workers doing the act or the AI systems it employs, etc
There's no need for extra AI-only laws. Those only stifle innovation and concentrate power in the hands of existing, rich companies and keep competition away from them. That's why the existing AI companies are in support of such laws. It raises barrier for entry and keeps them safe from new competition arising.
