It is true. My question is does the Canadian identity in its current form deserve to be saved. Is the nostalgia for a Canada of old relevant in the world we move towards? Would the Canadian experiment not benefit from a merging of neighbours and joining forces with a stronger more secure representation of human exceptionalism?
