Sooooo, after 10 months of waiting - I paid for a new boat yesterday! Pretty freaking excited, it's never been harder to get whitewater gear down here, so having the only Pyranaha Firecracker 252 in the country is pretty freaking spesh! Should be in my possession early next week, and then the long road back to being the tidiest boater on the river begins. No goals set for how hard I want to push things, just going to see how that unfolds - but style and smoothness are going to be everything - if that's a class 3 thing, then I will be turning heads in class 3 and that will be just fine. Be nice to be a Kaituna/Wairoa/Huka regular again, but work and middle age will either let it happen or they won't. Let the dance begin....
