Six different species of hoverfly now verified, from my survey walk yesterday. A seventh was ambiguous, so I didn't submit it. The path is only around 200 metres.

Biodiversity has been uniquely trashed to an extreme degree in England. We need serious political will to address that but on the positive side, small and undisturbed islands of biodiversity can play an outsize role.
