It seems that Germany's Gender Self-Determination Act takes effect today, making it easier for people in Germany to obtain official recognition of their gender (or lack of gender), with pretty substantial criminal penalties for "intentional and harmful" (according to the BBC) deadnaming.
Perhaps we will soon see similar in the UK.
