Whelp, I can report that the impromptu batch of feijoa jam I made last week (I was face with a glut of relatively small, rapidly aging feijoa fruit from our garden) is not at all undeliscious. Very sweet (despite not much sugar), tart, with complex bitter notes. A bit like a marmalade, but good. 😜 I'll be doing that again next year!
