Past couple years I’ve shifted my activity calorie base away from maltodextrin. It’s fine, but unsustainable so I’ve supplemented with honey more and increased fat pairing.
Also, made gels after my last batch of homemade bars. Normally I carry them in reusable freezer popsicle baggies or baby food pouches.
This time I used old soft flasks. Works great, I’m used to carrying them and they fit in the side pocket. I may get some smaller soft flasks specifically for this.
