On Labor Day I like to remind folks that we got this holiday by threatening to beat the boss class to a bloody pulp in the street and burn their factories down. This is important to know not just because "power concedes nothing without a demand," but also because the methods of our great grandparents are a surprisingly useful tool for getting rich people and the states they own to surrender to our reasonable demands - like say "stop boiling the planet," "no more genocides" and "pay your workers"
