Right now looking through some ancient stuff for #traveller from around the time when Star Wars released. There's this gigantic shift in science fiction culture and you can feel it through what people wrote for what was basically the prime (because only) science fiction #ttrpg.
The whole Charted Space setting only showed up properly after Star Wars introduced people to the idea of a galactic empire.
