4/6🧵Implicit in all of this is my opposition to the idea that everyone needs to be an activist or that the aim should be to panic people into taking heroic individual actions. I'm sure that's a necessary part, but social change needs to happen on a broad and deep scale, by people who are not professionals.

This is another reason why 'defensive' activity like enduring and perservering are more powerful and accessible as mass ideas.
