I would just like to say: it is incredibly, deeply enraging to witness my 14 year old hispanic friend with dyslexia struggle to get any kind of help (let alone support or encouragement) at all for school, EVER. and then when I sit down and help her with her language arts homework (and grit my teeth at the utter inanity and tediousness of the homework assignment that would make anyone hate reading and writing) she is accused of cheating the next day by her L.A. teacher because the writing she produced "is too advanced." the system is so rigged against her in just about every way!! thank you for reading and sorry for the vent.
