A reminder. You can take sick days from your holidays in Ireland. If you catch something that floors you over Christmas get a doctor's note for the days and your workplace has to return those days to your holiday balance. This includes annual leave and public holidays (aka Christmas Day, Stephens Day and New Year's and their equivalents if they're on a weekend).
