Hospice is a downer because you develop an attachment to some people that you know are goners, which sucks in and of itself. The most I ever know about someone is what's left when I meet them. Basic hospital mortuary work is fun, but when I'm wanting a more personal attachment to my work I'm still licensed for crematories and embalming, as well as general funeral direction. Come to the dead side, wages only go up in this sector and it's mostly peaceful.
