My understanding of complexity is that it is what presents itself as a choice matrix to a choice maker. If you don't know anything about it, there is no choice to be made about. Culture feeds the choice matrix to those of us who find themselves alive within it. Sometimes there are those within it who can actually feed it back, by introducing novel choices that never previously existed. Thank you Satoshi Nakamoto.
