#PennedPossibilities 501 — Describe a holiday your SC enjoys, and why they enjoy it.
No days are holy, nor do people have the concept of a sacred as differentiated from a profane, but I get your drift. I'm not sure they commemorate a day corresponding to an event; at least it hasn't come up yet in the reluctance stories I'm writing. They do commemorate events haphazardly, like with a race held at different times in different cities—very similar to the one commemorating the Battle of Marathon in our culture, and the messenger who died. I foresee decision points ahead on this, though. Even the concept of years is somewhat fungible, for anthropocentric reasons, though in the age of the Nine Outer Planets people do understand the concept of a circumstellar sidereal year, but it doesn't divide into days so they consider it unworkable as a standard year.
Bolt likes her days off, tho!
[PS: Thanks, Panda, this one helped with some backstory and world building. —RS
