PSA: I woke up in the middle of the night last night and looked out the window, and my eyes couldn’t quite make sense of what I was seeing.

It took me a moment, then I realized that the moon (which is almost full) is SO bright, and the snow is SO white, that the moon full-on *casts shadows.*

(Yes, I imagine you northerners have grown up with this, but my Southerner’s mind was right boggled.)
