I want to view a Fedi post on its own instance, Mastodon has "open original page" and "copy link to post" options. Usually that works, but I've noticed in certain cases (certain instances? certain software?) the link I get that way is broken and gives me an error.
Does anyone know why that happens? It's a bit frustrating when I want to share a good post somewhere, but the link turns out to be broken.
