I bet there's at least one astronomer with an emergency "Betelgeuse goes supernova bag, telescope and slippers" setup, and an automated alarm linked to LIGO bursts.
Probably will never be triggered. And if it is, they'd probably spend at least 10 minutes wondering what the hell that sound is rather than running outside and recording.
