I haven't read lowereys book, but a lot of people were hoping it would be strategic first mover to make btc legal and dump all the debt money intoitx to get reserves before anyone else figures it out.
If they outlaw asics with large magazines there won't be much mining going on stateside. If they did it glabally the difficulty would adjust to the slower GPU stuff and tik tok
