FYI (maybe I should pin) - I talk about internal processes so much because I wish that were more normalized. I have ample evidence as a parent (and human) that it's beneficial, even necessary, and wildly undervalued as a practice. This is the same reason I take active notice of simple, beautiful moments, and write about them. Not because I don't also read about and mull over current events or politics (though it's true that while I love history, I do heartily loathe politics).
