I often feel nervous in social situations. I like to interact, but I'm always full of self-doubt.

I sort of have to ignore that self-doubt and "act stupid" to have conversations with people. It's a bit awkward because the nerves make you stupid.

If I numb my bad nerves with alcohol, it's not as bad. I expose myself to social interactions periodically but the nerves never quite go away.

I'm a bit afraid of what people might say. Maybe because I'm sensitive, so I have good reason to be afraid.
