Some mutuals on Threads pointed out that Tamil in Malaysia is increasingly influenced/replaced by Hindi (like how Malay is increasingly influenced by Indonesian and Arabic and chinese dialects are replaced by Mandarin). Seems like globalization is badly affecting dialects/regional languages everywhere.
