but what do government agencies do when the real problems are solved? they certainly don't say pack it up guys, we did it, let's keep a skeleton crew on lookout duty. the bureaucracy chugs along, interested only in expanding its own funding and power, until it's vastly overstepped its mandate and now only serves to make things worse. all you get is higher energy prices, shittier appliances and vehicles in the name of "efficiency", and manufacturing and mining sent overseas.
