Slack is not alone in tacitly acknowledging that what you're writing doesn't matter as much as the performance of writing it does, incidentally. I recently discovered, very much the hard way, that Github will hide any code review longer than a certain threshold, punishing you for offering an in-depth review in the process. The performance of reviewing a submission matters more to the interface than the substance of the review.
