I'm reading the fire posts with interest, mostly I'm curious about the timber. Do you build with stone/brick at all over there and have these buildings stood up to fire any better? There's been a recent trend over here to use timber frames in our new builds and it looks like they have really struggled in the recent storms. I doubt we'd have a fire spread in the same way, but I do wonder if they'd produce a different sort of flame that moved differently from house to house.
