Does the instance you chose here on Mastodon matter?. When I jumped ship and joined, I just joined the same instance as a friend (who no longer inhabits Mastodon, more fool him). All I know is that my feed is full of many instances output, mainly wildlife and simular, but not much from my instance. Do people join an instance they think serve thier preferred content? I guess that makes for a good start point, but it isn't essential surely...just wondering.
