Yes this is definitely true. Basically all the folx I know who have done sex work did it because conventional side hustles weren't enough to make ends meet. I actually am going to be in a living situation that probably qualifies sex work, cus rent in some cities is simply impossible.

Also very true, there is a large social stigma against "undignified" forms of labor. Criminalization does not help.
