I've used Keet a bunch for my online music classes. Have spent some time in the Hypercore (what Holepunch was formerly called before it was consolidated under ony company) ecosystem as well, specifically with cabal.chat and beakerbrowser.com (RIP)
It has its constraints but I wouldn't call it vaporware.
