There's an interesting Miles Davis release on the way from Analogue Productions: Birth Of The Blue, sort of a prequel to the famous Kind of Blue record. The four tracks were recorded in one session in 1958, about a year before Kind Of Blue, with the same band (Davis, Coltrane, Adderley, Evans, Chambers and Cobb). The tracks have all been issued before but this is the first time they're coming out as a stand-alone release.
