In the ever evolving landscapes of technology and sociopolitics, the best defense is a good offense to allow you to threaten problem elements looking to corrupt you. Even if you have a giant button on your forehead that says “press here to destroy everything I control,” no one is going to press that button if it’s going to cost them more resources than keeping you alive would.
In the end, decentralization is just one of many tactics with its own benefits and drawbacks. I think it gets focused on too much for ideological reasons. But I am very interested in decentralized systems, just as I am interested in anarchist thought as a whole. I’m just wary of leftists who pigeonhole and limit themselves based on ideals.
