I'm currently learning more and more about #narcissism and its spectrum from normal to destructive and pathological. Dealing with people, who have an extremely inflated view of themselves and are incapable of receiving constructive, well meant criticism are hard to be around. For me it's unpleasant to say the least. I prefer open and honest conversation with all cards laid out on the table, a feat which doesn't come easily to some kinds of people. They like to exert control to increase their power. This comes at the expense of closeness and mutual respect and leads to the destruction of trust and relationships.
Do you have any experience with narcissistic behavior? Any advice on how to approach such people is greatly appreciated.
