bias isn't insurmountable, cross referencing different sources (which have different biases) and seeing how they compare to each other can allow you to "cancel out" (it's more complicated than that but you get the idea) their biases and arrive at the truth underneath it

that is a fundamental misunderstanding of how science works, the amount of studies that say something means very little by itself, their *methods* are what can allow someone to assess their validity
