I was thinking something similar yesterday, about how white americans can cope with not having a real sense or foundation of national/familial heritage and traditions since it is clear a lot of people long for that (even if they won't admit it), and we have all others' shoved in our faces at every turn
I didn't come up with any good solutions tho, at least that would fill that void for me personally
