aside: I really hate that GitHub forced that little UX change on me.
It's not like **I** gave one iota of thought about which issues are "closed as completed" vs "not planned", but now they're making me choose when I just want to literally close out the issue.
It stinks of metrics gathering for a GitHub beancounter.
... except there's no guarantee either about whether the closed state was correct, so it's not even that reliable of a metric.
