I love the fender telecaster because if you find one with just the right finish and look at it from just the right angle, the illusion is dispelled and you realize that someone just took a child's drawing of a single-cutaway acoustic guitar, used it as a template to cut a slab of wood on a bandsaw, and slapped some electronics and a set of strings on it. even the headstock just looks like a comical profile drawing of the scroll on a real instrument
