Thinking #bitcoin thoughts on a lazy Sunday. This is a movement, no doubt.
But we’re early. So early. If we want to keep the momentum, then we have to evolve on the hardware front, as well as layer 2. With each halving, there is a culling of the herd. To keep up, miners need either:
1) more efficient processing
Or
2) more efficient energy.
This will likely lead to a consolidation in the controlling power of mining operations and the further centralization of our beloved decentralized network.
In my view, the bitcoin network will in time, follow the same path as modern energy companies unless we decide to go down a path similar to solar. Without panels, you get what the energy company feeds you.
With out a mining rig, you don’t vote in which protocol is being run. If we don’t decide, “they” decide (in time).
We need to be arming ourselves with mining rigs. The Information Age equivalent of the AK-47.
