feld (npub1yck…ujmw) sure, the web is bloated in general so that could have been it. however i've just visited a mainstream news site and their longest css is over 210 kilobytes. there's also 19 more css files on the same page, adding up to 500+ kilobytes.
not everyone has a fast internet so it's noticeable sometimes, even though it's like 150 when compressed

i haven't published my own site yet but my work-in-progress stylesheet is 1.5 kilobytes, i don't know what people are doing with half a megabyte of css on regular websites but it feels like frameworks might be to blame.
