I got a long, crying, drunken call from an ex this weekend. After a while I laid the phone down and went outside to feed the deer. When I picked the phone back up she hadn't noticed me gone and was still there whining about missing me.
I said, "The pizza guy is here I gotta go" as I hung up. She knows there's no delivery this far out in the woods. 😹
