As a human rights lawyer, I find this to be a deeply disturbing and painful failure in leadership. We cannot be selective in our human rights and civil rights. We must be unequivocal.
Our current congressman's refusal to call for a ceasefire means risking the deaths of more innocent Palestinian and Jewish civilians. That is unacceptable. We cannot stand for this.
