Those kinda words remind of people who think.. that if someday we can break encryption and we know which coins that were lost, we should take them and put them back into circulation. That is a terrible thing to do.
Lost coins or other coins DO have value. Those lost coins continue to give Bitcoin value because it makes Bitcoin even more scarce.
Why would you count coins you lost? or mined and don't have the private keys anymore? They are not yours anymore. They belong to the Bitcoin system. You aren't beyond rich because you don't own anymore. You lost them or whatever the reason is you don't have them anymore.
Three is no such thing as not counting the lost coins. Their is 21 million Bitcoin. No more and no less.
