Perhaps it comes down to money in the end. Even strong belief systems are coerced by money, and all people need money. So perhaps by giving both sides more financial freedom and indeed agency they can cross border trade. As a result they can become friends or at least respectful neighbours if they are allowed or able to trade using bitcoin, an emotionally neutral money.
