I'm seeing enough postings for Latin jobs where they'd like the "living Latin" approach or more spoken Latin in the classroom that I'm starting to think I should get up to speed on the basics. I mean, yes, I have a PhD in classics with a focus on Latin literature, but--I read it, I don't speak it, and would have to pause and think to construct sentences out loud in real time.

So, any recs for the best books/approaches for self-teaching the spoken approach? #latin #classics
